Abide With Me
Remaining at the Master’s Feet
Join us for a day of retreat
July 22, 2022 | Feast of St. Mary Magdalene
9 a.m.–4 p.m.
Seminary of the Immaculate Conception
Huntington, New York
In the Gospels, St. Mary Magdalene shows us the transformative power of Christ, the Divine Physician, and eucharistic love. From the moment of her conversion, washing the Master’s feet (Lk 7:36-50), Mary Magdalene remained at Jesus’ side, following Him through His ministry up to the cross. She could not be separated from Him even when He was in the tomb—and in return, at the resurrection, Christ revealed Himself to her first (Jn 20:11-18).
Mary Magdalene is the perfect model for those who have experienced the redeeming love of Christ and who seek to deepen their devotion to Him and to the Eucharist. No matter how far we may have fallen in the past, we can dare to hope to become great saints. This is the confidence and inspiration that she instills into the heart of sinners.
The brokenness of our humanity is never an obstacle for Christ; instead, it is an opportunity for restoration and reformation. When we empty ourselves of all that holds us back from seeking deeper relationship and healing, we create space for the Divine Healer to fill us with life in abundance.
We invite you to join us for a one-day retreat to encounter the Divine Physician through the sacraments. All are welcome!
