Reform Your Fasting Donation-Based Virtual Summit
The Healing Power of Fasting for the Body and Soul
Friday, Feb 28, 2025 | 10 am-12pm ET
As we approach the season of Lent, it's an opportune time to learn about fasting. The Church in her wisdom gives us the holy season of Lent, in which fasting is a pillar and a powerful discipline to help us turn our attention toward God and purify our bodies and souls.
Fasting is among the oldest religious practices and healing modalities in history. Modern society, however, is distracted by consumerism, instant gratification and an overall lack of self-restraint; the discipline of fasting is widely unappreciated.
Fasting properly orders the appetites of our body to the good of our soul.
“The more you deny the flesh, the more you render the soul radiant with spiritual health.”
— St. Basil the Great
“Take care of your body as if you were going to live forever; and take care of your soul as if you were going to die tomorrow.”
— St. Augustine
