Reform Your Inn Donation-Based Virtual Summit Replay

Preparing to Welcome Jesus, Physically and Spiritually, this Advent

Thursday, November 30 | 10 AM-11:30 AM ET

Friday, December 1, 2023 | 10 AM-11:30 AM ET

During Advent, we are invited to reflect on Mary and Joseph’s journey to Bethlehem, a difficult route consciously chosen out of love for God. We, too, have a road to take to get to Christmas, but unlike Mary and Joseph, two paths are set before us. One is marked by busyness—the frenzy of preparing our homes, trees, gifts, and meals for the celebrations. The other is a path of stillness and slowness in which we prepare ourselves to receive the Infant Jesus as if we were the simple, humble inn in which He was coming to dwell.

When we focus too much on what’s external, we lose focus on what’s internal—and we lose sight of the eternal.

We do not want to be the innkeeper that turned Him away. With preparation, we can reform ourselves and become a fitting place for Him to dwell.

We invite you to join us to reform our inn to prepare the way for the Lord during a two-day summit led by the Reform team and a panel of guests. Our speakers will help you to find practical ways to combat December’s hectic pace and reclaim the fullness of the liturgical seasons of Advent and Christmas. Jesus longs to come and dwell in us. Together we can empty our hearts of distractions and diversions, so that Christ can be born in us anew.

“I am so glad that Jesus was born in a stable. Because my soul is so much like a stable. It is so poor and in unsatisfactory condition because of guilt, falsehoods, inadequacies, and sin. Yet, I believe if Jesus can be born in a stable, maybe he can also be born in me.”

— Dorothy Day
