Reform Your Relationship With Food

On the dignity of food and our bodies

November 3, 2023 | 10am - 11:30am ET

“We are made in His image and endowed with the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

We are made in His image, yet many of us struggle to see our bodies as holy and worthy of love.

You'll learn how to confront the beliefs you hold about your body with Christ's truth and how to foster a better relationship with food as nourishment.

Regardless of our vocation, season of life, job, or daily duties – we all share the same responsibility to steward the gift of our physical bodies and to nourish our whole person in an ordered and wholesome way. Join us in learning about the Wellness Pillar of nutrition as an invitation to return to whole and real foods and to consider how we can best fuel our bodies to live fully alive.

The food we eat should make us feel healthy–  energized, calm, and satisfied without restriction, fear, or guilt. By recalling that food is a gift and a means by which we are able to live whole and holy lives for the Lord, we can start to truly integrate our physical and spiritual health and to shift the lens from a restrictive diet mentality to a truly Christ centered lifestyle.

True freedom is only found in one place: in Christ. We aren’t striving to be free from food, but rather we want to see food as the means by which we move towards our ultimate end, which is to know, love, and serve God on earth and be with Him for all eternity.

The Divine Physician is inviting us to allow Him into the places of our heart that food alone can’t satisfy. He is waiting for us in the best source of whole person nourishment: the Eucharist.

In this workshop, we’ll cover:

+ How to identify an unhealthy relationship with food

+ How to attain true food freedom through, with, and in Christ

+ How to steward the gift of our bodies with nourishment

+ How to identify the root cause behind our eating behaviors

+ How to nourish our bodies in accord with nature

+ How to foster a healthy and holy relationship with our bodies

“This bread of the Strong gives me all the strength I need to carry on my mission and the courage to do whatever the Lord asks of me. The courage and strength that are in me are not of me, but of Him who lives in me – it is the Eucharist.”

—St. Faustina
