Living Holy in the Present Moment

I have learned through Reform Online that the path to holiness is not a separate road from the busy highway of my daily life, but lies in the very rhythms of my day-to-day. The path to holiness is paved in the moment-by-moment decisions of how I choose to fuel my body, how I play, how I rest, how I commune with others, and how I make space for God in my calendar. Reform in practice incarnates Saint Paul’s words, “So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31). This intentional and fully integrated way of living with Christ at the center of all pillars of wellness has empowered me to “live holy the present moment” as Saint Gianna Molla advises, which has been something I’ve struggled with in the past.

Thanks to Reform, I find myself whipping up healthier recipes, adding collagen to my morning coffee, getting outside of my comfort zone and saying “yes” to more play and adventures, fueling my body daily with the Eucharist and morning prayer, listening more attentively to my body, slowing down and resting more (guilt-free!), as well as accompanying others in their own healing journeys with the tools that I have learned. Reform is truly an instrument of Christ’s healing power and a maker of (w)holy disciples in the midst of our aching, burnt out, and unwell world.
